Background : This sequel to the Magnificent Seven has Chris forming a band of seven gunfighters to rescue an old friend from an evil mexican who is using slave labour to build a village as a memorial to his sons who were killed in battle years earlier. The critics were not too kind to this film, probably because it was the sequel to one of the most memorable westerns ever made. However it was a good action film full of great western stars who gave excellent performances - all spurred on by the rousing score composed by Elmer Bernstein and under the watchful eye of accomplished western director Burt Kennedy.
