"SO, MY GOOD OL' HORSE SENT YOU A MESSAGE, DID HE... HUH?"
By Neebeeshaabookway:
INTRODUCTION:
I always loved the way Jess Harper greeted Branch McGary, in the Marshals, and wanted to think on a how they could have met in such a way, as to match up to what Jess said to him, and, to what "Mac", answered back.. Obviously, it was due to a situation from the past--and a past of great friendship. But--thought I'd wait a mite, first, as I didn't want to step in too soon, as I think Barb was thinking it'd be fun to do, too. Now, I reckon it my time to try, being that I'm out of work and have a chance to do so.
Once, again, I'm seeking to weave some episodes together, trying to follow the theme of the "golden thread" that I love in Laramie--and seeking to shine light on how wonderful the good Lord's always kept watch over ol' Jess Harper. Leading him ever-onward, to a home-life and a future. A hard, yet overflowing-course, where his ways over-spilled many a time, allowing him to do much good in the lives of other, and getting back, a due-reward, all his own.
SPRING-BOARD, EPS:
NIGHT OF THE QUIET MAN (I moved with the flow, that Slim needed to leave Jess, so Slim could find the others that were Jess--sadly they were all dead. Slim needed to go to McCambridge fast, if he was going to figure out what happened--then, his last chore would be to get the sheriff. If he played his cards right, maybe the right answers would show.)
THE MARSHALS (*though this ep has not come to pass yet, it involves the history of how Jess met Marshal Branch McGary--I moved with the feel, that their friendship was a simply and solid one, but had to have started with something mighty impressive, for them both. I just personal chose to let Branch be the one to clear Jess' past, with full-range power.)
THE DYNAMITERS (being that Jess was wanted in Prescott)
*Fun note: oddly, both men, from the Laramie eps, picked here, were nick-named "Mac". So, please note that, as well.
